ABOUT COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Charles Babbage is considered by some to be "father of the computer". Babbage is credited with inventing the first mechanical computer, the Difference Engine, that eventually led to more complex electronic designs, though all the essential ideas of modern computers are to be found in Babbage's Analytical Engine, programmed using a principle openly borrowed from the Jacquard loom. Babbage had a broad range of interests in addition to his work on computers covered in his 1832 book Economy of Manufactures and Machinery.

Established in 2009, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering began with an intake of 60 students. It offers a rigorous 4-year undergraduate program, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, alongside a specialized 2-year postgraduate program, MTech. in Computer Science and Engineering. The department is well-equipped with spacious laboratories that facilitate advanced learning and research. The faculty comprises well-qualified and experienced educators who are committed to excellence and adhere to the standards set by JNTUK and AICTE.

The primary objective of the department is to prepare students to become successful computer science engineers who can meet the evolving needs of the industry Overall, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering aims to create a nurturing environment that supports academic excellence, promotes innovation, and prepares students to excel in the dynamic field of computer science.
